Charles Pschola

Elect Charles (Chuck) Pscholka
to Lexington Village Council

"Experienced and Professional"

www.cpscholka.com!

What experience would I bring to Village Council?

• Educated in the field of City and Regional Planning. – B.S. Michigan State University , 1970

• 39 years experience as a professional planner and public administrator including 33 years as Administrative Director of the Village of Lexington, 1975-2008. Extensive knowledge and experience in all areas of public works.

• Considerable experience working with other local agencies such as the Richland County Regional Planning Commission, Richland County Growth Corp., ReDec, County Commissioners, etc.

• Successful grant writer with extensive knowledge of outside funding agencies and programs.

If elected to Council, what would I hope to accomplish?

• Help Lexington craft fiscally conservative budgets while maintaining essential services. My priorities would be to preserve public safety and maintain essential public works while attempting to secure as many grants and outside financial resources as possible to implement necessary capital improvements.

• Encourage economic development to enhance the village’s tax base by working with local land owners, private developers, and local and state development agencies. The village must have development incentive programs and shovel ready sites readily available to be competitive when opportunities present themselves. The village must also preserve and protect its existing businesses and minimize obstacles for their growth and expansion.

• Preserve the beauty, character, and safety of our community through fair and uniform enforcement of existing zoning, sign codes, property maintenance codes and other village ordinances. I would assist in drafting new regulations when necessary to address new concerns and threats.

• Encourage the use of the village’s web site, news letter, local news releases and other methods to make the deliberations, decisions and operations of the village as transparent as possible to our residents, and encourage public feedback that is transmitted to Council.

• Continue the ongoing task of developing our excellent park system by seeking outside grants to assist with major improvement projects and by looking for opportunities to acquire additional land when and where it would compliment and enhance the recreational opportunities for our residents.

• Preserve and protect our village charter and Council- Mayor- Administrative Director form of government adopted in 1976 which allows the village greater flexibility and authority than provided under the statutory plan for villages.

Vote for experience, honesty and dedication to public service.
Elect Charles (Chuck) Pscholka to Lexington Village Council.
