My name is David A. Sharrock; I prefer to be called Dave. I was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on December 20, 1954. My parents are William and Dolores Sharrock and they still reside in Bucyrus. I am a dedicated father to my only daughter Adrianne, who teaches Preschool and Kindergarten in Portland, Oregon.  After having graduated from Colonel Crawford in 1973, I later went on to futher my education at Tri-Rivers Career Center School of Paramedicine.

Since moving to Crestline in 1988, I’m proud to say I served Crestline well, while working with the Crestline Fire and EMS Department and raising my daughter in this great community. Although I retired from the Crestline Fire and EMS Department, after more than 20 years of service, and also from Critical Life Ambulance Service, I am still actively employed with Embarq Phone Company with over 35 years of service. Currently I am an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph School Advisory Board.  In addition I am an active member of the Crestline Lions Club, Eagles Area 859, and Crestline Historical Society Vice President.  My hobbies include Nascar Drag Racing, Car Shows, and Community fund raising.  I like working on and restoring old cars.  I have enjoyed working with children while coaching baseball, at all levels, over the years.  Also I coached the summer league girls’ softball at Colonel Crawford, while my daughter was a player on their team.  I served in the past as a Local and State Officer for the Ohio Jaycees, and I a member of the Bucyrus and Crestline Jaycees. In addition, I have volunteered many hours to local charities.

If elected, this will be my first political office to serve, although my family members have held political positions such as mayor, judge, and city council.  I am asking voters to allow me to serve them as the Mayor of Crestline with the following goals in mind:  Promote growth with new businesses in our community, which will lead to increase employment for the citizens of Crestline.  Ensure the continuing high standards of our Police and Fire/EMS staffing, for the security of our citizens.  Work with the Crestline School Board and Faculty to ensure and promote the growth of our school system, while working to keep the schools safe with a drug/crime free environment.
