My reason for running for the position of Monroe Township Trustee in the 2009 election is for the challenge and the desperately needed changes within our township.

I have been married 18 years to my wife Paula, a R.N./Legal Nurse Consultant, and have two daughters, Meghann, a Forensic student at OSU, & Morghann, an 8th grade student at Lucas, a step-son Jake, an Environmental Restoration graduate of Hocking Tech College and step-granddaughter Maci. I am affiliated with the Apostolic Christian Church.

Many township residents have approached me and asked if I would be up for the challenge to address complaints/concerns regarding necessary changes needed for the improvement of our community. My interest in the political world will assist in this accomplishment.

Being a lifetime resident of Monroe Township for over 50 years, 19 years experience working with The Monroe Township Road Department, 15 years on the Lucas Alumni Board, 3 years on the Lucas Little League Board, and 3 years as a softball coach, has given me the knowledge/experience necessary for the leadership the position requires.

Some goals I will strive to accomplishment are:

* Establish better communication among trustees, other township employees, & Monroe Twp. residents

* Promote business development within our community.

* Invest and protect the tax payers’ dollars.

* Create a roll-over plan for road department, fire department, and rescue squad equipment.

* Dedicated to remain open-minded to all issues brought to my attention.
