Jim’s Personal Background:

• Married 35 years to Marianne retired kindergarten teacher & has 2 children, who are married.

• Has 7 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild.

• Is a member of First English Lutheran Church.

• Has lived in Monroe Township since 1982.

• Both children are graduates of the Lucas Schools.

• Two grandchildren are currently attending the Lucas Schools.

• Has coached Little League Baseball & Flag Football.

• Was the Commissioner of the Lucas Little League for 2 years.

• Coached the 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team for 2 years.

• Has worked at Heritage Days with the Lucas Boosters.

• Vietnam Vete ran

Educational Background:

• Graduated from Mansfield Senior High

• Attended Mansfield OSU.

• Currently attending NC State in Criminal J ustic e.

Professional Background:

• Has been a law enforcement officer for over 27 years.

• Has served as National President of the United States Police Canine Association for 2 terms.

• Was the secretary of the Fraternal Order of Police, William J. Taylor Lodge 32 for 2 years.

• Has served as the residential deputy for the Village of Lucas.

• As a deputy, has worked with the Lucas Safety Town Program.

• As a deputy, has taught classes to Lucas High School students about the influence of alcohol & driving.

• Acted as the Office Associate to the FOP Labor Council for non-supervisor deputies.

Jim is running for Monroe Township Trustee:

• To continue the positive progress of the Township.

• To continue to improve the working relationship between the Village of Lucas and the Township.

• Because he has the experience working with county government which can be an asset when dealing with the Monroe Township concerns.

• Because he loves the community & wishes to serve his community.
