Next weekend brings several events to downtown Mansfield...

The July edition of Final Friday at the Brickyard is Friday, July 26th.

Guest artists on the Brickyard stage include Jai Merina at 5:30pm followed by Acoustic Edge at 6:30pm and the Red Ball Jets to end the evening at 8:15pm.

These concerts continue to draw several thousand to the downtown Mansfield district which equals revenue and community growth.

Bring your own chairs and take advantage of many food and drink trucks on location.

Saturday, July 27th, the 5th annual Mansfield Children's Festival returns to the Richland Carrousel Park and surrounding downtown streets which will be closed off to automobiles.

This festival welcomes thousands every summer.  42 vendors are registered for next Saturday's event.

Each booth will offer a free activity for children. Unlike a traditional outdoor carnival of games only, this child-oriented event will emerse children in activities that will help to develop skills, from social skills to fine and gross motor skills.

The festival begins at 10am to 2pm with FREE rides courtesy of some great local companies.

Author Roald Dahl books have been described as colorful, imaginative and "bigger than life". Geared for youth, they are just as appealing to adults.

The role of Matilda will be played by Corlyn Stauffer and is the story of an extraordinary girl that has a vivid imagination and dreams of a better life. Cast also includes well-known theatre names Ryan Shreve, Kara Hancock, and former Miss Ohio Matti-Lynn Chrisman.
