Marvin Memorial Library Announces Walk and Talk Schedule

SHELBY, OH- Marvin Memorial Library in Shelby has announced the schedule for their Library Walk and Talk events.

The walks will take place on Mondays from August 5 through September 30.  They last from 6-7pm. The majority of the walks will begin at the Marvin Memorial Lobby at 29 W. Whitney Ave in Shelby.

The Walk and Talk events are part of the Just Walk Richland Program in conjunction with the Shelby City Health Department, Marvin Memorial Library, and Richland Public Health.

Routes and speakers vary for each event.  The walks take place at a conversational pace.  Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes.

The schedule is:

  • August 5 - Meet at Oakland Cemetery to walk the cemetery.

  • August 12 - Meet in the Marvin Memorial Library Lobby to walk Seltzer Park.  Kyle Bailey will talk about the flowers and trees in the area.

  • August 19 - Meet at the reservoir on London East Road to walk the wetlands with Kyle Bailey.

  • August 26 - Meet in the Marvin Memorial Library Lobby to walk West Park Drive with Beth Conrad.

  • September 23 - Meet in the Marvin Memorial Library Lobby to walk to the Shelby Log Cabin.

  • September 30 - Meet in the Marvin Memorial Library Lobby to walk to the Shelby Museum.
