Benefit Set For Rhianna Moreno

A benefit is being held all day Tuesday, March 26 at the Mansfield Restaurant at 948 S. Main St. in Mansfield for five-year-old, Rhianna "Ri Ri" Moreno. Rhianna has been fighting a battle to overcome injuries she sustained in car accident on Dec. 26, 2012 in Ottawa County. The Moreno family was on their way to exchange Christmas gifts and purchase groceries when the accident occurred. The accident has left Rhianna with extensive brain injuries and an amputation of her right leg. Rhianna remains in Toledo Children's Hospital. She was recently moved out of the intensive care unit and currently is undergoing intense rehabilitation. Rhianna's mother was also seriously injured in the accident has not been able to return to work because of her injuries. Rhianna's father was laid off prior to the accident. These circumstances have caused a financial burden for the family. Mansfield Restaurant will donate 25 percent of all meals purchased, if Rhianna's name is mentioned when patrons pay for their bill. |
