Mansfield Police Officer James Moore is hanging-up his badge and calling it a career after 25 years.

A reception was held Wednesday for the 63-year-old, who spent most of his career as a patrol officer, and the past year with the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Moore plans to relax and spend time with his wife of 42 years.

Officer Moore is known for his hard work, dedication, initiative, and positive attitude. He was the Mansfield Police Officer of the Year in 2007.
