The Independent Studies Program of Mansfield Christian School hosted their annual Used Book and Curriculum Sale on Friday evening.

Dozens of students and parents of home schooled children were on the hunt for educational materials and there was certainly plenty to choose from. Several parents of students rented tables to sell used books, curriculum and home-school supplies to the community.

One parent described the event as a "win, win for everybody" because it's "a great way for people to make money and to save money".

Parents and students also said the event is a good way to gather reading material for "continued education" over the summer months.

Independent Studies is a program of Mansfield Christian Schools where MCS comes along side families interested in educating their children at home while having the connection, protection and accountability of a Christian school.
