A larger than normal group attended the North Central State Board of Trustees meeting Wednesday night. End of school year items and budget for the upcoming year were on agenda, as well as a presentation by faculty currently in negotiations for a new contract.

North Central State Faculty Association President, Margaret Puckett spoke on behalf of the 55 faculty members at North Central State. Faculty argues they haven't received an actual raise in years. The 1% raise received last year was needed to cover their insurance and retirement costs.

Board Chairman, Dwight McElfresh says the board hopes to come to a resolution soon, but this decision needs the appropriate amount of time to come to a final product everyone is pleased with.
