Ashland county residents have had the luxury of having their library brought to them for the past 80 years.

The Ashland county library has provided a bookmobile service since the 1930's and the program is still delivering the gift of books to all ages. Supervisor of Bookmobile Outreach, Martha Buckner announces that the service is free to use with the only requirement being a library card. There have been six buses used since the service began 80 years ago with their newest bus acquired earlier this year.

The bus is 30 feet long and provides story time for children.

Ashland county bookmobile will hit the roads this summer from June 2nd up until August 2nd.
