North End residents, churches, community groups and non- profit organizations are invited to apply for up to $250 in NECIC Small Grant funds for projects or events that benefit the North End of Mansfield.

The North End includes the area of Mansfield north of Park Avenue West, between Trimble Road and Main Street.

Recently, NECIC extended its target area to also include census tract 16. Census tract 16 is the region bordered by Poth Road on the north, Ohio 39/Springmill Street and Ohio 30 on the south, North Trimble Road on the west and Bowman Street on the east. Individuals in this area are now also included in NECIC’s service area.

The program’s goal is to advance NECIC’s North End Community Economic Development (CED) Plan by connecting people, encouraging community involvement, and supporting volunteerism, while providing a public benefit to the North End community. The Richland County Foundation provided the funding for 2014 small grants.

Applications for a Summer 2014 Small Grant must be received by 4 p.m. on Monday, June 16 and are available at 199 N. Main St. or online at www.necic-ohio.org. Call Tony Chinni at (419) 525-3101 more information.
