NC State And Faculty Reach Tentative Agreement

  North Central State College's negotiating team and leadership of the N-C-State Faculty Association have reached a tentative agreement on all current negotiations. The faculty association is expected to vote on the agreement prior to the next N-C State Board of Trustees meeting on August 27. The North Central State College Board of Trustees are expected to ratify the agreement at that meeting. Specific terms of the agreement remain confidential until the contract is approved by the faculty and ratified by the board. Margaret Puckett, spokesperson for the North Central State Faculty stated, "Our members are pleased to have the negotiation completed and are eager to get back to planning for the arrival of students enrolled for the fall term." Dwight McElfresh, Chair of the North Central State College Board of Trustees added his thanks, "On behalf of the Board of Trustees, and especially the students we serve, I thank everyone for working through the negotiations process with professionalism. It is a testament to our belief that at North Central State College, we are focused on the needs of our students."
