One person was killed Wednesday morning in a fiery crash at 1330 Ohio 545.

According to the Mansfield Post of the State Highway Patrol the first 911 call came in at 3:53 a.m. about a vehicle on fire with a person trapped inside. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the 1999 Hyundai Elantra fully engulfed in flames and power lines down.

"The preliminary investigation reveals the car traveling southbound on Ohio 545. The driver failed to negotiate a small curve, drove off the west end of the roadway and struck a utlility pole. The car overturned and caught fire, " Sgt. Jeffrey Redden said. 

The male driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The identification of the driver has not been released pending notification of the next of kin. The crash remains under investigation.
