Steve  Dickerson has officially been selected as the new superintendent of the Hillsdale Local Schools District.

Dickerson, an Ashland resident, currently serves as the superintendent at Lucas Local Schools.

The Hillsdale Board of Education distributed a letter announcing the selection to district staff and search committee members on Thursday. Dickerson was among two other candidates vying for the position.

Dickerson will replace superintendent Joel Roscoe will retire effective July 31. Dickerson will receive a three-year contract with a base salary of $82,000s annually with no increases.
