Road Construction Underway On Ohio 61 And Ohio 598

With the warm weather comes orange barrel season and one city isn't wasting any time getting their roads in shape. Work on State Routes 61 and 598 began May 5th in Galion.

Mayor Tom O'Leary and construction personnel from the Ohio Department of Transportation, hosted a public meeting to discuss the project and field questions and concerns from community members. The purpose of the project, to widen the road and add a left turn lane as well as reconstructing and widening the State Route 598 bridge over the Olentangy River.
