Motorists who refuse to wear their safety belts, beware, as the 2014 national Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement mobilization begins Monday and continues through June 1. During the mobilization period, local and state law enforcement agencies will step up enforcement to catch motorists who aren't wearing their seat belts. The Richland County Safe Communities Coalition is joining with local and state law enforcement officers and highway safety advocates across the country to help save more lives by strongly enforcing seat belt laws around the clock.
