Commissioners Seeking Bids For Longview Center HVAC

The heating and air conditioning system at the Richland County government Longview Center building is old and struggling to keep working. So, the commissioners are seeking bids to replace it. The first job is to keep the air conditioning running as the hot summer approaches. The Board of Elections and North-Central Ohio Computer Cooperative offices in the rear, lower level are using temporary units. The roof-top heating units will be replaced by fall. The commissioners are borrowing money to cover the estimated $640,000 cost. The new system will be more energy efficient, saving money over time.
