Site work begins at future home of FedEx facility

The official groundbreaking for the new FedEx facility in Ontario is just a few weeks away. And crews are already taking the first step in the construction process.

They're moving dirt off Beer Road, building a temporary road in the Beer Road Industrial Park, located just off State Route 309. That road will allow construction equipment to reach the site of the FedEx Ground package handling center, to be built in the park.

FedEx announced in March their plans to bring the facility to Ontario. It should be finished by the middle of next year. The company says it'll hire about 150 people once it's up and running.
