Hundreds of people on Sunday flocked to the grounds of Sacred Heart Church on Ohio 61 between Shelby and Crestline. It was the site of the 119th Annual Sacred Heart Festival where proceeds go to the operation of the school. One of the highlights each year are the barbecued half-chicken or ham dinners, complete with all of the fixins'. A corn hole tournament was set up at the church for older adults to participate in. The grounds are also filled with an assortment of games for children with a bounce house, as well as putt-putt golf course and live animal attractions are on hand for younger children at a petting zoo. A Farmers Market booth was also set up complete with baked goods and fresh produce. And, many of the older attendees always enjoy walking through the antique farm machinery on display. |
