A life celebration was held over the weeklend for a woman who has pretty much seen it all.

Doris Hays Chinn turned 101 years-old on January 15 and her family members and friends threw a reception in her honor in the Community Center on Lee Lane in Madison Township.

She celebrated the day with her brother, Wilgus Hays who is 94 years-old.

Mrs. Chinn lost her husband several years ago at the age of 102.

She grew up in Kentucky with seven brothers and sisters and raised eight children of her own.

Mrs. Chinn also continues to take care of her 73-year-old mentally-challenged daughter and keeps in touch with her 12 grandchildren.
