MedCentral Mansfield Hospital has opened up its new Audiology Clinic inside the main entrance and is designed to serve the hearing needs of the people in north central Ohio.

The clinic evaluates all age ranges and provides diagnostic audiology services that are available.

Clinical audiologist Julie Bonko says if someone does have a hearing loss, the first thing needed is to make sure it's not medically treatable and then have them cleared for hearing aid use.

She says if the situation warrants a minor hearing loss, the clinic offers a full line of assistive listening devices they can make available to patients.

The audiology clinic will hold an open house and offer free hearing screenings from 10 a.m. until noon and from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1.
