From 2002 to 2007, the Galion football program was near or at rock bottom going 3-57 during that time period.  But since 2008, the Tigers have gone 28-12, including 10-0 in 2009 and 8-2 last season.  Like last season the Tigers look to be contenders not only for a conference championship, but also the playoffs.  With the official start of the OHSAA football preseason on Monday, the Tigers have sent their ten days working on the little things, fundamentals.

One of the players coach Chris Hawkins will look to for leadership on the field will be senior running back David Nay who ran for 2,004 yards last season.  Galion will open at home in week one against Mansfield Senior on Friday, August 24th.  Senior High won last season's opener against Galion at Arlin Field 34-20.
