A Loudonville man has been indicted on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide in connection with a crash that claimed the life of a Mansfield man. Tyler T. Bender, 22, was also indicted on three counts of OVI. The Ashland post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says Bender was traveling on County road 775 on April 3 just after midnight when he lost control on a curve, struck a stop sign and an embankment and overturned. Jared m. Reid, 20, was ejected and run over by passing vehicle driven Jessica Derr of Ashland. Reid died at the scene. Bender and two other passengers, were seriously injured and taken to MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Bender was arrested Friday by Loudonville Police after the grand jury returned a secret indictment against him on Aug. 30. Bender's bond was set at $50,000. Bender posted bond Monday afternoon and was released from jail. Bender will be arraigned in Common Pleas Court on Sept. 21.
