After getting roughed up by Bellevue the week before, Clear Fork came back with a strong effort in shutting down Columbus Independence 28-0 in Bellville last Friday.  The Colts used a balanced attack in knocking off the Patriots, rushing for 123 yards, with Travis Born rushing for 60 yards and scoring one touchdown and Ryan South throwing for 134 yards and two touchdowns.  On the other side of the ball the Colts held Independence to 169 yards total and shut out a team that had come in at 2-0.

This Friday, the Colt defense will have to deal with more of the same as they host Mansfield Senior.  Last week was also a bounce back game for the Tygers as they improved to 2-1 with a 45-21 win over Marion Harding after a week two loss to Tiffin Columbian.  Tyger quarterback Jalen Reese threw for 425 yards and four touchdowns, all in the first half, to establish a new school record for passing yards.  The Colts will also have to keep an eye on wide receiver Keon Johnson who burned the Presidents last week with five catches for 187 yards and two touchdowns.

Clear Fork comes into their game with Senior High riding a seven game winning streak against the Tygers.  Senior High has not beaten Clear Fork since 2004, 27-7 the final in Bellville.
