Weather conditions played a part in Saturday's Bill Brown Classic at Ontario's Marshall Park, as overnight thunderstroms made the running wet and muddy for the competitors.  Locally, despite the conditions, Lexington's Zane Sturtz put in a good showing on the boy's side with a second place finish in a time of 17:28.  Ontario's Brett Cortelletti was fourth in 17:36.  Winning the race was Jacob Kernell of Uniontown Lake in 16:51.  Uniontown Lake also claimed the overall boys championship with Lexington taking third, Shelby was second with David Yosick coming in 8th in 17:50.  Col.Crawford was fourth, Bucyrus fifth.

On the ladies side, the top finisher locally was Lexington's Lillian Freundlich in a time of 20:39.  Crestview's Emily Trent was fourth in 20:42.  Winning the race was Hanna Campbell of River Valley in 19:42.  The overall team championship went to Lady Lex, with Shelby fourth, Crestview fifith, Willard seventh.
