The Ashland Board of Education Monday night passed a resolution to accept the Ohio School Facilities Commission assistance program to allow the school district to accept state funding for new buildings should the district's 3-point-7-mill bond issue pass on Nov. 6. Ashland Schools Supt. Dr. Doug Marrah says the bond issue is receiving a good deal of community support in the hopes of building a new middle school and auditorium on the high school property and constructing a new elementary school on district-owned property on Duff Field. The board also heard from Ashland Future Farmers of America Advisor Jessie Paulson who introduced Ashland FFA President Erica White who is the District 2 President and the Ashland FFA meats team who finished fifth at the state convention. The Ashland FFA meats team received a banner for their accomplishment. |
