Close to 100 people participated in the Ashland Care Center's Annual LifeWalk fundraising event held this past weekend.

Ashland Care Center Executive Director Ducia Hamm says walkers accept pledges to raise money for the pregnancy resource center whose services are free to their clients.

She says the goal was to raise $25,000 from the event.

Hamm says Ashland Care Center has been growing by leaps and bounds in recent years.

The Ashland Care Center is on track to serving more than 1,000 people this year.
