The city of Mansfield's Shade Tree Commission held an informational public meeting at North Lake Park.

  Those in attendance received an update on the Beautification Sector's Landscape Committee and their work on the North Main Street Corridor projects.
 
  Special guest speaker for the meeting was Urban Forester, Lisa Bowers, with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry.  Bowers provided an update on the Asian Longhorned Beetle, which is affecting Maple Trees.

  The Shade Tree Commission meeting is held every two years in Mansfield.
