Ontario kept the momentum rolling from last weeks 26-7 win over unbeaten Wynford into Lucas Stadium with a 41-20 win over the Cubs. It was the first time all season the Warriors have put together back to back wins in what was a more competitive game than the score may indicate.

Ontario took an early lead on the opening possession of the game with a 4 minute 35 second drive capped off by an 18-yard Tyler Boatwright touchdown run to make it 7-0. Lucas would respond with a scoring drive of their own early in the second quarter when quarterback Cole Barrett plunged in from a yard out to tie things up.

The teams would trade another pair of scores before the half, but Lucas would convert their PAT to take a 14-13 lead into the half. But the third quarter would belong to Ontario and the areas leading rusher Jordan Campbell. The junior would rip off touchdown runs of 36 and 63-yards to give the Warriors a two score advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

The Cubs would pull back within a score with just over six minutes to play when Levi Harris finished off a long Lucas drive with a 1-yard touchdown run but it would be all Ontario from there, tacking on a pair of scores to put the game out of reach.

Campbell had another stellar night with 29 carries for 272 yards and 3 scores and made one 23-yard reception. Backfield mate Theo Davis also had a nice game with 39 yards off 6 carries and a TD.

Lucas' Nick Swainhart entered the game just a yard back of Campbell with 1038 for the NCC rushing lead, but lost ground with 145 yards on 28 carries and a score. Harris added 50 yards on 15 carries and that 1-yard TD.

Lucas is now 1-6 and will host 4-3 Upper Sandusky next Friday. The Warriors move to 4-3 and travel to 2-5 Buckeye Central.
