Mansfield Police have determined the possible attempted abduction of a 12-year-old boy Friday morning never happened.

The boy claimed a man attempted to grab him at his bus stop on Reign Avenue.

But after being questioned by his father, the boy admitted he made up the story after missing his bus.

Police plan to charge the boy with making a false report.
