Hoofin' It For Hospice 5K Held At Carrousel Park

As part of the Richland Carrousel Park's 21st Anniversary celebration, a Hoofin' It For Hospice 5K Run and Walk event was held over the weekend. Hospice of North Central Ohio Director of Development, Jayne Meyer, says they wanted to do something in conjunction with the Carrousel and the What Goes 'Round store which benefits Hospice. A fun run for kids was also held through downtown Mansfield in the historic Richland Carrousel District made possible with help from the Ashland High School girls cross country team. Those competing in the 5K Race and Walk received an event T-Short, participation gifts and an entry for prizes along with a free Carrousel ride. The Richland Carrousel was the first new carrousel to be built and operated in the United States snce the 1930's with 52 unique figures to ride on while enjoying music of the Stinson Band Organ. |
