The Jeromesville Lions Club held its annual Sycamore Day Festival in the village's South Park and nearby William Noggle Farm this past weekend. Hay wagon and truck rides went from South Park at the shelter house to the farm, home of the world's largest American Sycamore tree as determined by the Guiness Book of World Records The Sycamore tree has four trunks, the largest of which is seven-and-a-half feet in diameter. It is one of Ohio's six National Champion Trees, standing 129 feet tall with a circumference of 422 feet. Jeromesville Boy Scout Troop 521 provided freshly made campfire donuts. |
