After their 41-20 win over Clear Fork this past Friday, the Madison Rams stand at 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the Ohio Cardinal Conference just a game back of OCC leader and rival Mansfield Senior.  As it has been since the season began the next game is the biggest game of the season, Orrville.  The Red Riders come in at 1-6 having their toughest year since 2002 when they finished at 2-8.  But coach Sean Conway says his team had better not look past the Riders saying they have players who are game breakers and if the team wants a share or an outright OCC crown and have a shot at the playoffs, then Orrville is the next big game.

Madison has been one of the best rushing teams in the area this season.  Twice they have piled up over 500 yards of offense, all of it coming on the ground against Wooster and Clear Fork.  Both times Madison running back Kale Huss has run for over 300 yards.  The latest 343 against the Colts which is a new school single game rushing record.  Huss and Conway are quick to point out that yardage like that is not possible without the play of the Ram's "Big Uglies" up front, tackles Isiah Mayer and Chaz Price, guards Richard Fraley and Glenn Phillips along with center Nate Boggs and tight end Cody Harris who clear the "high iron" up front.   Madison will try to turn the tables on the Red Riders Friday as Orrville won on Esley Lane last season 20-17.
