Richland Newhope has received a check for more than $451 from the Knights of Columbus Council 4448 from St. Mary's of the Snows Catholic Church on Ashland Road in Mansfield. The money is earmarked for the Gift Fund, which assists individuals and families supported by Richland Newhope. It was raised as part of the Knights of Columbus' annual "Measure Up" campaign, which involves all Knights of Columbus councils in Ohio. The Knights of Columbus Council 4448 is one of several local councils that support Richland Newhope and its programs. Over the years, money donated to Richland Newhope's Gift Fund has been used to provide various supports for individuals with developmental disabilities, such as the purchase of wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment. Richland Newhope (Richland County Board of Developmental Disabilities) supports more than 1,800 individuals through early intervention, preschool, adult, residential, therapy, transportation and other family-support programs. |
