A woman and two children are recovering from a vicious dog attack in Richland County.

Three rottweilers attacked the woman and her 22-month and three-year-old nieces around noon Thursday in Weller Township.

It happened in a wooded area near 3870 Franklin Church Road, where the dogs live with the woman and her husband.

As the woman, girls, and dogs were out walking, the woman picked-up one of the girls, prompting the dogs to attack all three.

The dogs ran off, leaving the woman and girls severely injured.

Twenty-two-month-old Kaitlyn O'Brien is in critical condition and three-year-old Reagan O'Brien is in serious condition at Akron Children's Hospital, while Sandra Lynn Kinstle is in fair condition at MedCentral Mansfield.

The girls are the children of Matt and Audrey O'Brien of Taylor Road.

Dave Jordan says he'll discuss possible charges with prosecutors, and says Sandra Kinstle could be charged with failing to control a vicious dog and child endangering.
