Mansfield Man Found Guilty Of Killing His Girlfriend

A Mansfield man has been found guilty of murder for the shooting death of his girlfriend. Bryan Emrath, 29, was found guilty of murder with a gun specification for the shooting death of, Rachel Kiser, 24, of Ashland, Thursday in Richland County Common Pleas Court. Judge James DeWeese sentenced Emrath sentenced to the mandatory sentence of 18 years to life in prison. Emrath's defense said the shooting was accidential, but previous testimony indicated that Emrath admitted to shooting Kiser on April 28 at his home at 37 Reba Ave. Kiser was shot in the nose and back of the head with a .22-caliber rifle. |
