Ghosts, ghouls, and goblins invaded downtown Mansfield Tuesday night, for the city's annual Halloween parade and trick-or-treating.

The parade along Park Avenue West featured 75 entries, and was sponsored by Star-Tek.

Another attraction Tuesday night was the Carrousel, which had Pioneer Career and Technology Center students dressing the animals for the spooky holiday.

And, for the first but not last time, the Carrousel ran backwards.

Sixty merchants contributed 15,000 pieces of candy to hand-out along the parade route, with a request to put the candy into childrens' hands rather than throw it and cause kids to run into the street.

Security was also stepped-up with twenty additional safety forces.
