Ontario Schools have received an award from the state auditor for the latest review of the district's financial records.

Superintendent Lisa Carmichael says 23-year Treasurer Randy Harvey deserves the credit.

She says in her 27 years in education, Harvey is far and away the best treasurer she has worked with.

Carmichael says Harvey is competent and diligent, and this clean audit shows he and the school board are good stewards of the taxpayers' money.

This is at least the second time Ontario Schools have received this state auditor's award.

The last time was in 2010.

The award indicates the district had no findings for recovery, or citations, weaknesses, or deficiencies in its record-keeping.
