The Oasis of Love Church in Mansfield hosted its Fourth Annual Children's Harvest Festival Wednesday evening at the Ocie Hill Neighborhood Center at 445 Bowman St.

The Oasis partnered with the Culliver Reading Center and the Prayer and Praise Network for this year's event.

Oasis children's pastor Sardia Jordan said the theme of this year's event was "Light the Night with Jesus." She said more than 200 children of all ages gathered in the gymnasium to enjoy a giant jumpy, face painting, hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy.

"We're showing the love of Jesus Christ to children and families of the community. We're reaching out to people at a time where people need to know that Jesus loves them. God is concerned about them and he cares about what they're going through and he loves their children," Jordan said.

The event concluded with the Big Candy Grab. The Oasis of Love Church congregation donated the candy. Volunteers wrapped up  300 bags for the children.
