The new McDonald's restaurant at 666 Lexington-Springmill Road in Ontario is almost ready to open.

Ninety days have come and gone since the original building was torn down and replaced with the chain's new design.

It opens next Tuesday at 10:30 am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Mayor Larry Collins and the parents of the restaurant's owner-operator Larry Monica.

He says this new McDonald's includes a double drive-thru.

The previous restaurant employed 42 people, not including managers.  This new one will have 65 workers, plus 10 managers.

The project was a $2.5-million dollar investment, with the cost shared by the national corporation and the Monica family's franchising business, SSM Incorporated.
