A head-on crash at about 9 a.m. Thursday in southeastern Wayne County killed a Wooster woman.

The Highway Patrol says  Veronica Cook, 53,  was westbound on U.S. 250, while Anthony Alex DiFazio, 19,  of Gardiner New York was eastbound.

He crossed the center-line, hitting Cook's car head-on.

Troopers say Cook was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

DiFazio was buckled-up, and taken to Aultman Hospital in Canton for treatment of his injuries.

The accident closed U.S. 250 for several hours.
