The Galion Tigers finished their 2012 regular season campaign as North Central Conference Black Division champions with a big week 10 win at Ontario, 15-6.

The sloppy conditions played a big role in the contest, as pouring rain and a muddy field limited each team on both sides of the ball. Ontario was especially affected by the elements, fumbling a total of seven times and losing four of them. The Warriors had a pair of turnovers occur at the Tigers 1-yard line, when quarterback Tyler Boatwright fumbled on the teams opening posession into the endzone and receiver Cameron Mack did the same late in the fourth quarter.

The Tigers scoring came early in the second quarter on a 2-yard Dareian Watkins carry, capped off by a David Nay 2-point conversion to make it 8-0. Then later in the third quarter Watkins ripped off a 26-yarder to answer a 58-yard touchdown scamper by the Warriors Jordan Campbell.

Campbell finished the game with 83 yards on 17 carries and as the NCC's leading rusher and scorer with 1,785 yards and 33 total touchdowns. Boatwright went 4-11 for 54 yards and ran for just 15 yards on 17 carries.

Watkins racked up 48 yards on 8 carries for Galion with Nay carrying the load with 111 yards on 28 carries.

The Warriors actually outgained the Tigers for the game 197 yards to 155, but held Ontario without a score in four trips into the Galion red zone.

The Warriors finish up their season at 6-4, while Galion has earned a spot in the postseason at 9-1 and could potentially host their first round playoff game next weekend.
