The Richland County Commissioners have approved a one-year renewal of their two natural gas contracts.

Central Services Director Cathy Mosier says one agreement is with Integrys Energy Services, and the other is with Interstate Gas Supply.

She says the renewals lock-in prices for next year at current levels, resulting in a signifcant savings. 

These contracts have been in effect since two-thousand-nine, and this is the second of three one-year renewal options.
