U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown stopped by the WMFD television studios Tuesday, while on his "Road to Ohio Jobs Tour." The seven day caravan tour of Ohio-made cars has the Senator traveling 21-hundred miles with 25 different stops across the state. "Since the auto rescue, unemployment dropped significantly, from 10.5-percent to 7-percent," Sen. Brown said. "It didn't save the Mansfield Fisher Body Plant, but we have seen an increase in jobs among auto suppliers." Brown goes on to say, "We've sold the Mansfield plant in Ontario, so a new manufacturing company can come in, and, we've been able to continue the 800 jobs at Mansfield air base." Sen. Brown says he is confident in his reelection and will continue his "Road to Ohio Jobs Tour" Wednesday in Findlay and Waldo. |
