The Richland County Board of Developmental Disabilities held a special meeting Wednesday. The panel got together for two-hours to review a draft of the 2013 Richland Newhope budget, and the agency's goals for next year. Superintendent Liz Prather says the budget is a "squeeze" but should stay balanced if tangible personal property tax revenue keeps coming in the from the state, as officials say it will for the next couple of years. Prather says one of the top priorities is to get more clients into the workforce, where many have proven to be solid employees. The Newhope board will hold a public hearing to take input on its strategic plan, November 29th at 8:30 am at its administrative office on Cleveland Avenue in Mansfield. The plan and budget will be adopted in December. |
