Tygers Season Ends at Tiffin

The Mansfield Tygers outgained Tiffin Columbian 333 yards to 306, but lost on the scoreboard 28-16 as the Tygers saw their season come to a close in Tiffin.  The Senior High's Jalen Reece threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns, both going to Chris Diaz who had 13 catches for 119 yards.  Rushing wise, Mansfield's Keevon Taylor ran 18 times for 160 yards. The Tygers made things close for most of the night, but nine penalties were costly including three off side penalties which kept Tiffin drives alive and led to three touchdowns.

The Tornadoes were led by quarterback Jack Jacoby who ran 29 times for 142 yards scoring two touchdowns.  Jacoby was backed up by Ryan Lynch who gained 102 yards on 20 carries scoring one touchdown.  Passing, Columbian's other quarterback Mike Rohrbach was six out of eight for 58 yards and one touchdown pass to Vince Anway who caught six passes for 29 yards.

With the loss Mansfield Senior ends their football season at 8-3 and co-champs of the Ohio Cardinal Conference, while Tiffin Columbian now at 11-0, moves on to next week's Division II regional semifinals against Avon who stopped Perrysburg 28-11, at a site to be determined by the OHSAA.
