An investigation continues into a Friday afternoon house fire at 3360 Millsboro Road in Ontario.

Springfield Township firefighters responded to the fire around 3:30 p.m. and found light smoke coming from the roof area.

Springfield Township Fire Department Lt. Anthony Shelton says firefighters were hindered some by the many dogs the family owns.

The Richland County Chapter of the American Red Cross responded to the scene to aid the family of five.

The fire is believed to be electrical in nature and the State Fire Marshal's Office is expected to also investigate the cause Monday.
