A long-awaited bridge replacement project is a step closer to being done. The small span will be built on lightly-traveled Lamp Road in Bloominggrove Township in rural Richland County. The commissioners have opened the only bid submitted, from Page Excavating in Lucas, to build a new bridge over a babbling brook. The new bridge will be done by next April, ending a two-year closing period. The bid is for $54,500, about $2400 more than the estimated cost. |
