The Madison Rams gave it their best shot, but Toledo Central Catholic was as good as advertised as the Irish rolled over the Rams 45-7, in the Division II regional semifinal played at Sandusky Perkins Friday evening.  TCC broke out to a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter and were never really challenged enroute to their 11th win on the season and a shot at a regional championship next week against Avon who beat Tiffin Columbian 24-14.

TCC was led by quarterback DeShone Kizer who was 5 of 6 passing for 116 yards and two touchdowns, one to tight end Keith Towbridge of 24 yards, the other to Derich Weiland from 47 yards away.  On the ground Central Catholic's Amir Edwards led all rushers with 89 yards on 14 carries scoring one touchdown.  In total yardage TCC outgained Madison 327 to 119.

For Madison, Kale Huss rushed for 81 yards on 20 carries and scored Madison's only touchdown.  For the year Huss finishes with 1,969 yards rushing, a Madison single season record to go along with 25 touchdowns.  Also of note for Madison, the 10-2 record marks the first time since 1992 that the Rams have finished a season with ten wins.   Madison's '92 squad finished at 10-1, losing to Pickerington in the first round of the playoffs.
